Oxford Casino Hotel Welcomes Mission Working Dogs to Give $5 Get $10 Veterans First
OXFORD, ME. (January 2025) – Oxford Casino Hotel (“Oxford Casino”) announced today that they will be proudly welcoming local veteran owned charity, Mission Working Dogs, as a beneficiary of their monumental Give $5 Get $10 Veterans First promotion.
Since 2015, Oxford Casino has orchestrated the promotion – starting as one day a week, to a two-day span, and now to a 3-day long event. Guests are encouraged to donate a minimum of $5 to selected charities, the proceeds of which provide support to the programs where donations will make undeniable, positive, local impact.
Mission Working Dogs “trains purpose-bred dogs to aid individuals with disabilities so that the handler can live a life to the fullest and more independently.” Founder and President Christy Gardner is not only a Veteran of the United States Army Military Police, accomplished Paralympian, and certified Service and Therapy dog trainer – she’s also a resident of Oxford, Maine. “Oxford Casino is honored that we have the opportunity to provide support to our neighbors, and to be able to provide it to a program like MWD that does so much to give back to our community is genuinely our pleasure.” says Matt Gallagher, General Manager at Oxford Casino.
