Oxbow Beer Garden Ski Trail

The Oxbow Beer Garden is adjacent to an extensive Nordic skiing trail system, formerly known as Carter’s XC Ski, which was built and maintained by the local Carter family for decades. We are pleased to offer access to this free, use-at-your-own-risk network of beautiful mixed-use trails that run through the fields and forest behind this new Oxbow location. Nordic skis, fat bikes and snowshoes are available to rent on site from the nonprofit organization Portland Gear Hub.
Western Foothills Land Trust
Western Maine
Western Foothills Land Trust protects farmlands, wetlands, forestlands, unique natural resources and open space in the greater Oxford Hills area of Western Maine. The Trust also holds conservation easements on privately owned lands and owns working forest lands and preserves in the region. To date our lands, contain over 32 miles of recreational trails, 7 of which are groomed for Nordic skiing in the winter.
