TEAM MEMBER SPOTLIGHT – JENN W.

We are proud to congratulate Jennifer on her most recent promotion to Casino Host Supervisor!

Jenn is a day-one team member who started at Oxford Casino Hotel on opening day in 2012! When we asked Jenn what made her want to start a career here, she told us that she just knew when the bill passed for a casino in Oxford County that she was destined to be there – a place where work is FUN! Since then, Jenn has been working her way up through a variety of departments and learning different aspects of the industry as she goes. She started her role here as our spirited shuttle driver, advanced to the Slot Department within a few years, and eventually worked her way up to the Host Department within Marketing. On a typical day, you can find Jenn greeting and entertaining guests on the floor as well as checking in and assisting with all departments. When you don’t see her on the floor, Jenn is busy booking hotel rooms, answering calls and emails, or sending postcards to her guests! A job like this is different every single day, and that’s what she considers one of the best parts about it. That, and her beloved “second family.” Outside of work, Jenn enjoys spending time with her husband Jason and their two dogs, boating, and yearly visits to Florida.

When we asked Jenn what she’d recommend to someone looking to apply, or to any team member looking to advance, she told us this: “We have a job for anyone. Always apply to advance your career and learn as much as you can! Look where I started. You can do it too!” Jenn hopes to continue to advance as she only learns more and more of the industry every day.
